CHAMBOLLE-MUSIGNY LES CRAS


LOCATION
Chambolle-Musigny is a village located in the central part of the Côte de Nuits.  Its vineyards are facing East/South-East.

SURFACE
The Domaine GUYON wine area for CHAMBOLLE MUSIGNY Les Cras covers almost 1.13 hectare (2.79 acres).

SOIL AND GRAPE VARIETY
Clay and limestone
100% Pinot Noir

HARVEST AND VINIFICATION
Hand-harvested, the grapes are then carried in small boxes and sorted out upon arrival at the winery.
Long fermentation during 20 days in wooden open vats, with punching down of the cap and temperature control.

AGEING
Ageing in oak barrels (30% new oak) and estate bottling after 16 months.

CHARACTER
Very nice ruby robe, with lovely aromas of violets and perfumed red cherries.  Elegant and delicate with a silky texture. Soft tannins for a very long finish. This wine can be kept for 10/15 years.

SERVICE
To be served at 16-17°C with roasted pigeon, duck with truffles and most cheeses.
