PULIGNY MONTRACHET 1er Cru Les Pucelles

SITUATION
PULIGNY MONTRACHET is located South of Beaune, near Meursault. This appellation includes 17 1ers Crus and Les Pucelles 1er Cru is the top 1er Cru.
 
SURFACE
The Domaine GUYON vineyard in PULIGNY MONTRACHET 1er Cru Les Pucelles enjoys a very good exposure.
 
SOIL AND GRAPE VARIETY
Soil is made of white marls
Grape variety : Chardonnay 100 %
Age of vines : 40 years old
 
WINE-HARVEST AND VINIFICATION 
After being hand harvested, the grapes are placed into small boxes for transport and then hand sorted at the cellars.
Alcoholic fermentation occurs at 18°-20° in oak barrels with lees stirring once a week.
 
MATURATION
Aged in oak barrels and estate bottling after 15 months.
 
TASTING
Brilliant gold colour, the nose develops complex aromas of white flowers. This wine is elegant, rich and powerful, with a lot of freshness. The lively acidity supports a fantastic length. This wine may be kept for 5 to 10 years.
SERVICE
To be serve at around 12°C with lobster, crawfish, grilled or fried sea-fish, foie gras.
